In a place of amazing natural surroundings, only one building matches the landscape in beauty. No other building speaks better of the spiritual sense that the natural beauty here evokes, than the Chapel of the Holy Cross.
Built in 1956 by Margaret Staude, whose intention was that the doors of the chapel would always be open to one and all, regardless of creed.
Facing the doors of the chapel, to the left, you can see two towering pillars, known as the "Nuns". To their left is another pillar, that Margaret thought resembled Mary holding the Infant Jesus. She named the pillar "Madonna and Child" and decided that was to be the location of her church.
